InTomb is a first-person puzzle game I made with friends for Ludum Dare 51 (the 72 hour game jam).
The theme of the jam was ‘Every 10 seconds’. After some brainstorming, we decided to make a game where you play as a ghost who can turn human for 10 seconds at a time. Over the course of the 3 days we landed on a pixelated art-style, Doom-style enemy sprites, and a game mostly about puzzle solving with time pressure. About halfway through, I decided to throw in some ominous narration, and it worked pretty well so I ended up giving the game a little narrative arc.
I’m really proud of what we were able to achieve in such a short time! I haven’t done a game jam in years, and this was a great experience. Ludum Dare is very cool too! We played lots of other games, and people played ours, which is pretty amazing given the volume of entries.
